windows media player 9 series
i have a 6 year old back-up pc running win98 first ed. I want to get windows
media player 9 but the website says i need the second ed. Is this just microsoft being OTT or will it cause problems when its downloaded? If so, bearing in mind the age of win98, is there an easy way to upgrade to second ed? Any replies will be most welcome.

If an application specifies Win98 SE then that is what is normally
needed. It is not a matter of problems. It probably won't install.
