Default Safe Mode

I have been unsble to log on in safe mode either using F-8
or the control button. I have been getting a lot of hang
ups requiring re-booting and error windows saying explorer
would shut down. I decided to download IE 6 and go back
to IE 5. In the process I was offered the option of
switching into Safe Mode which I did. The download did
not complete and my computer is now locked in safe mode
with limited graphics and colors. It is practically
unusable. I use windows 98. I have tried everything I can
think of to get out of safe mode. I have re-booted many
times. I know there must be a way to get out of safe mode
but I dont'n know it. Please help!

Dear Rozie,

Have you tried going to start up clicking on programmes -
accessories - go to system tools and then system
information - on the tools menu click System Config.
Utility and on the Config. Sys tab click normal setup.
Click OK and restart your computer. It should work.
