is there a way to by-pass the scandisk portion of setup
in windows 98. i am using a boot disk and it takes
forever to go through the "unlooping of files section" at
that speed it would take 4 days to get through, thanks

Putting Win on a blank HD
Start the PC with a boot floppy
at the A prompt type this in.

MD C:\Win98 enter
Copy E:\win98 C:\win98 enter
Remove the floppy and type in
C:\win98\setup: enter
