Windows protection error
I downloaded a critical windows 98 update yesterday and,
when rebooting, got the message "While initializing device CONFIGMG: Windows Protection Error. You need to restart your computer" I restarted the PC which will now only start in safe mode. Apparently this problem is well known to Microsoft who just tell you to contact your supplier for a BIOS upgrade. Why do they not warn about this problem? Is there anything I can do to get round it? Alan
