http://bootdisk.com/
(You have to Extract and Create the Boot Disk with the file you download, just double click the file and follow the instructions.) XP questions are best asked in an XP newsgroup.
Please see: http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=305595 How To Create a Boot Disk for an NTFS or FAT Partition in Windows XP -- Jeff Richards MS MVP (Windows - Shell/User) "jjohnn77" wrote in message ... You can use your XP system to create a boot disk by running FAT32EBD.EXE
from the Win98 CD. You'll find it in the \Tools\Mtsutil\Fat32ebd folder. PattyL "jjohnn77" wrote in message ... Can you make this work? I always run into a problem with FAT32EBD directly
accessing the hardware, which XP doesn't allow. Or are you suggesting doing it from a boot to DOS (which is sort of circular, since OP doesn't have a DOS boot diskette). Maybe the people in the XP group know how to use this utility in XP. -- Jeff Richards MS MVP (Windows - Shell/User) "PattyL" wrote in message ... Good catch. By telling it to ignore, I got the Autoexec.bat, the Config.sys
and the Msdos.sys copied to the A drive but not the supporting files. You could then extract the ones you needed but downloading from Bootdisk.com would be easier if you had Internet access.
