I got the following message "No Class Key Failed" for
ENUM\ROOT\*PNP0000\0000
Why?

Are you sure that is the exact, complete message? What are you doing when it
appears? What changes have recently occurred that might have provoked this
message?

I tried to reinstall Windows 98SE.

You may have a corrupted installation CD, as there is no message in Windows
installation that matches what you have quoted. Do you have access to a
different installation CD?

In that case, since the message you mention is not part of Windows
installation errors, you should consider the possibility that your
installation CD is corrupt, and try to source another one.
