Default Some Advice Please

Anyone that has my email - that wishes to discuss the advantages and
pitfalls of running a HOSTS file can continue this offline, if you wish.

Regards,
Silj

I give in, what else would you like to know regarding HOSTS files?

All you really need to know is that it works. Everything you ever wanted
to know about using a HOSTS file:
http://www.mvps.org/winhelp2002/hosts.htm BTW, the little 'Hoster' app
mentioned on the page works very well for managing said HOSTS file.
Heirloom, old and using it

I don't want to know anything specific, it's interesting to monitor an
intelligent discussion of "the advantages and pitfalls" of using a HOSTS
file. I use one that may cause problems which I'm not aware of and
others may benefit by installing one.
I seem to recall seeing programs that can turn a HOSTS on/off, but when
would I want to turn it off and when to turn it on?

HOSTS File FAQ;

Re-name your HOSTS File "on-the-fly"...
