BOOT UP DEFAULT
I dread to think what mix of files you may have on your system if both
installs were in the same partition but to remove the Win 2000 boot manager, boot to an A:\ DOS prompt using a Win Me boot CD (no other, it must be a Win Me boot floppy) and enter at the prompt: SYS C: (assuming that C: is the partition with both Win Me and Windows 2000). Remove the floppy and reboot and you should now boot straight in to Win Me. You can now delete the files boot.ini, ntldr and ntdetect.com from the root of C:. -- Mike Maltby MS-MVP MIKE wrote: HAVE PRTTIAL INSTALL OF WIN 2000, WOULD NOT TAKE SERIAL #, THEN INSTALLED ME, NOW WHEN I BOOT IT ALWAYS GIVES A CHOICE WHAT SYSTEM TO BOOT TO, HOW DO I SELECT ME AS DEFAULT AND TURN OFF 2000,(OR REMOVE IT?) |
