Windows can't create a Temp file in Windows?
I have downloaded a few items, one being a Free Defrag,
as my Defrag for my Win98 never worked properly. But in the past week or so I have not been able to open up anything I download...it keeps saying for each one that Windows was unable to create a file in Windows/Temp and that they are all showing 500 Errors. I would like to repair this problem but I can't as I can't open any of the downloads to fix it all. I have emptied my Temp Internet Files, cookies too. Please advise me, somebody....I am nearly at my wits end. Canapril |

Windows can't create a Temp file in Windows?
Did you delete everything from your Temp folder?

Windows can't create a Temp file in Windows?
I didn't touch the Temp folder at all, only emptied what
was in the Temporary Internet files. But any of the downloads will not open as my Windows files won't create a file for them in the Temp folder. Delete the contents of the TEMP folder. Windows will prevent you from
deleting anything currently in use, but to be safest just reboot then immediately delete everything in the folder. -- Jeff Richards MS MVP (DTS) "Canapril" wrote in message ...
