Default Rwin Settings

Reading an old tip file, it suggested that I change my RWin setting. It
gave the following to change:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Servic es\VxD\MSTCP\DefaultRcvWin
dow from "5840 to "32767"

Any thoughts on whether this would be good or not?

Thanks,
Dan

Default Rwin Settings

I have experimented with that and other related registry settings years ago
and I could not see that they made a bit of difference for an analog modem.
Look for a file (say 1 mb or so) that can be downloaded from your ISP (not
other servers) and time the download. Change the settings and time the
download. Any difference?
If you have cable or DSL, have a look he
