Default TurboTax GIF file problems

I'm experiencing problems with TurboTax 2004 where the
graphics files aren't showing, but are replaced with the
Red X. The problem is similar to Beau's post "GIF Images",
only it's not occuring in Internet Explorer, it's occuring
in the PC based TurboTax application itself. Anyone out
there have this same problem? Anyone solved it yet?

(The TurboTax support team has been absolutely no help at
all. I wouldn't recommend this product)

Thanks

Begin by examining the version of Java you are running and either upgrade to
a newer one, or switch between the MS and the Sun version to try to resolve
this problem.
Look in Control Panel for the applet for the Sun version.

Thanks for the reply. I can't find what version of Java is
running. Not sure where to look to determine this.
Couldn't find it in the control panel.

Thankfully, for you, one of our very best MVP's has your needed answer:

Java Virtual Machine

Here are two excellent sites for identifying what JVM version(s) you
have running, troublesooting, fixing, and getting new downloads:
