Default invalid application has requested to print a document

We recently installed windows xp from windows 98. Many of our old programs
had to be reinstalled. Our banking program, quicken 2001 and our check
printing program, my business designer, were reinstalled.

I am now getting the error message "invalid application has requested to
print a document - request denied" when trying to print a check from
quicken. (Qucken uses the business designer print driver to print the
checks.)

I'm thinking of going back to windows 98.

Help appreciated.

What does Quicken's support web site (or their tech support dept) say
about Quicken 2001 being compatible with Windows XP? That may be the
problem (not compatible) or it may require an update patch.

Good luck
