Default How do I get all ME updates ?

hi

I've just installed my old ME on a PC I've built for my
son.

Windows Update doesn't work anymore (presumably because ME
is no longer supported).

How do I get all the ME updates ?

thanks

Dave,

What problem do you have with Windows Update? You presume wrong as to it
not working, Windows Update is alive and well and still delivering updates
to Win Me.

Windows update works fine for WinME, I downloaded latest update just a
few hours ago. Try this link from IE browser, with your virus scanner
disabled.

Yes, after reading abit more on the MS site I know that
ME is still supported for auto updates.

However whenever I tried to use it I got:

Windows has encountered an error and cannot display the
requested page

This is a fresh ME install so there's no Firewall or
Antivirus running.

You shouldn't be going online without a firewall running these days. If you
were using XP you would be having to get rid of viruses now - because the
internet itself is now infected. As for using ME.......?

Solved it.

This is really embarassing but the mboard clock was set
to 1999 !

Set it correctly to 2004 and updates worked fine

PS I now have TrendMicro Internet Security installed ;=)
