C:/ or C:\ , it should be the latter. Try SFC if it is file related. It may be memory related if not file related. Can you give more details? -- Sincerely, | (©) (©) | ------ooo--(_)--ooo------ Andrew H. Carter | /// \\\ d(-_-)b

Yes you are correct it is C:\ No it just keeps writing=20 the prompt over and over again, as if it were stuck. I am=20 sorry but a newbie here and don't understand SFC? If a=20 memory problem what would cause it? I did add some memory=20 awhile ago so I could run a program that required more=20 memory that I had. SFC = System File Checker, it is the actual program file name [C:\Windows\System\SFC.exe]. What file were you trying to delete? Did a program tell you to delete it? An email? Could it be the result of a virus hoax? Or a virus? -- Sincerely, | (©) (©) | ------ooo--(_)--ooo------ Andrew H. Carter | /// \\\ d(-_-)b
