Default unable to change hosts file

Usually I could just open it with Notepad and save it without problems.
I must have installed something lately, or it is a new security measure
may be.

There must be a service having this file opened for writing. How can I
find out the service that is using this file?

Thanks for you help,

René

What happens now when you try to change the hosts file? If there's an
error message, what does it say?

Some security and anti-spyware programs can lock the hosts file to
prevent malicious programs from modifying it. They prevent you from
modifying it, too.
