The mind boggles!!!!! Are you sure you can't come over and visit me for a
week and then pop down to Texas and help out the Loon??? (VBG)

We might even go halves on your plane fare, eh Loon?? I figure you just
might be worth it. LOL!!

Of course, I could lug my CPU over to London......now, that's a thought.
(see that man run.....heh heh)

Cheers.....Figgs

Router:
I'm currently using a Netgear 834G which is a 4 port router with ADSL
modem and wireless access point. Overall I've been very satisfied with
this purchase which was bought a few months ago on a Sunday when I was
desperate to quickly get back on line after my long serving Efficient 5861
router/modem decided to die on me. I use NAT on the router which in
itself is an effective firewall and then set up various rules and port
directions as required for my applications. As you say routers have
dropped considerably in price and a router without modem or wireless
access point can be purchased here in the UK for US$50 or so.

Virtual PC:
I use Microsoft's Virtual PC2004 (I have yet to try the latest 2005
release or even install SP1). In the UK this retails at around US$150 or
so. My main two PCs both run XP Pro SP2 and both have VPC installed which
then allows me to run Win Me on those PCs (as well as other operating
systems) in a window. I have three basic Win Me images I use, a virgin
installation with no patches or AV application or firewall, a fully
patched system with IE5.5 SP2, DX8 and WMP7, AV and firewall, and a fully
patched system with IE6 SP1, DX9 and WMP9, AV and firewall. I also have a
fairly old celeron 400 which exclusively runs Win Me (IE5.5 SP2, DX8 and
WMP7) and also Office 2000 and many other applications. Finally I have an
even older PII 450 that multiboots, is all scsi and runs Win Me (IE6 SP1,
DX9 and WMP9) and has Office 2002/XP installed although I have to admit
that that PC is probably only used once a month.

Well, that's just too cool.........I need to check into running in
the same manner. Routers are getting pretty cheap and that would be
some great 'insurance.' Any particular router you would recommend?
Does it require additional software to do what you are doing??
