Default Infected files in Temporary Internet archives

Having changed my anti-virus program, I appear to have a
number of infected files which cannot be 'repaired'
or 'deleted'.
These files' suffix is either 'jar' or 'cab' and are all
in Temporary Internet Files.
1. The 'Jar' files have been detected as infected by
different types of trojan horse viruses.
2. The 'cab' files (Microsoft) appear to contain "cax.dll"
files relating to cost incurring dialler (DIAL/300264).

It will be much appreciated if you would advise what can
be done to "dis-infect" the archive files concerned.
Thanking you in anticipation.

Reboot to Safe Mode (Ctrl or Shift or F5 or F8).

In Control Panel | Internet Options. On the General tab, click *Delete
Files*, then *Delete All Offline Content*.

Reboot.
