Default Spybot - latest definitions - anyone got an immunisation problem?

Just dled the latest definitions on OH's ME pc. It immunises and reports
all blocked but then if you click immunise again it saying 6 still need to
be blocked, please immunise. I have gone through this loop several times.

I have just dld the same latest updates on my XP pro machine and its
immunised perfectly.

This has apparently been a longstanding issue with Spybot. See the
information at the following link.

http://www.safer-networking.org/en/faq/17.html

I'm not running Windows ME any longer but seem to recall that there was
always 6 items that needed to be blocked. On my XP machine, the account
with administrator privileges has all items blocked; the limited user
account reports that 2 items still need to be blocked. I wouldn't be
too concerned about this. If you're also using SpywareBlaster and a
couple of other applications, there is some redundancy with the immunize
function in Spybot. Keep in mind that Spybot is just one of the tools
in the toolbox to keep your system protected. Probably the most
important protection is you, the user.

I don't have any such anomolies in XP, Home or Pro. Never have - it's only a
9x thing afaik. I don't use Tea Timer though. Maybe that's what those 2
relate to? Yes, in 9x it's been 6 items for a good 2 years now, maybe 3. Do
I hear 4? The paranoid gentleman at the back. No? Going once...going
twice...

Thanks for that Tom. I wouldnt have been too concerned but was having
trouble with hubbys machine and wondered whether something nasty was
blocking spybots actions.

You must have missed Richard's post on the 4th, Spikey.
There are no newer updates now.
The latest count is 4424, I believe and don't worry about the 'outstanding'
6 items. Just don't forget to immunize.

Harry.

Hi, Shane,

I'm not using Tea Timer either. The anomalies with the LUA come and go
with Spybot updates. As for the "paranoid gentleman in the back", who
knows.

You're welcome, Spikey. What problems are you having? There are quite
a few knowledgeable people who frequent this news group who may be able
to help.

Not sure that will help, Silj, we tried that numerous times before. H.
