Default Mail stuck in inbox

I have an indication that there is one piece of mail in my inbox but I can't
display it nor clear it out. I'm at the stage where I don't care what it
is, I don't need to see it, just remove it.

Windows Me, Outlook Express.

What can I do?

TIA

Ken
Best bet is to go the webmail interface for the email provider, and to
attempt to download or delete the mail from there.

Please disregard. For some reason the message was located out-of-sequence
by date and appeared up above the visible part in the summary box. If I'd
asked for "Next Unread" I might have found it.

Thank you for your prompt response, Noel. I feel pretty silly about posting
this in the first place. I should have said "Preview Pane" also. I'm
getting old. Now, what was I saying?
