Default Can't open PDF files

Hi,

I have the following problem:

When I am on the internet and I click on a pdf file it will not open.
The reaction that I get is a new window and a triangle in the left top
corner,
acrobat splashscreen doesn't start as it used to.
It used to work and for an, unknown reason to me, it stopped working.
I can download the PDF file and open it with explorer.

I am using Windows ME.
I tried several times to deinstall and reinstall acrobat reader but that
doesn't help.
Anyone any suggestions?
I'm thinking myself about a registry setting but I do not know which one.
Help Please...

TIA

Q.

Best bet is to get rid of Acrobat Reader - and install Foxit instead!
it's a lot quicker to respond, and uses a lot less resources.

Noel,

I did what you advised and it did the trick. It seems to work fine now.
Thanks a lot.
