Default PLaying video dvd

I am running ME and want to play a wedding dvd. I
downloaded a dvd player but I cannot get it to play the
dvd it seems as if it doesn`t know it is there . I assume
I am missing something, any help would be appreciated

If you are trying the Win Media Player then
you need the proper codecs.
Search for free Media Classic Player or
free VLC player, download from here
http://videolan.org/vlc/download-windows.html

This may sound like a dumb response, but it may be the problem. Do you have
a DVD-ROM drive and are you trying to play the DVD on it? Also, most
DVD-ROMs come with a program, but if it didn't, a good one that I use is the
Interactual Player, I think they have a website, and you can get the program
and new drivers for it there.
