of general use.

Tomorrow [June 26, 2009] starts the pre-purchase - pre-release
discount sale of Windows 7 in the U.S.. Other nations will also have
[depending upon the area] their own *SPECIALS* for various discount
prices. Check with local retailers or online for price availability.

NOTE:
Windows 7 requires *at least* 1 gig of memory, a 1 gig processor,
about 16 gigs of space for a base installation, and some other. Check
for system requirements and compatibility BEFORE you purchase the product.

I think this 2-week sale of Windows 7 ($50 to $60 depending on the
version) is for the "upgrade" version of Windows 7 (upgrade from Vista
that is). I don't think that the full version (or the upgrade from XP)
is on sale.
