How to use xcopy / xcopy32 to copy whole & sub directories, in DOS ?
When my Temporary Internet Files directory's index.dat file
is damaged ( no cookie visible ), I need to copy a backup of T-I-F into another partition after I use deltree.exe to delete the T-I-F with a damaged index.dat file, but xcopy & xcopy32 can't copy whole & sub directories to another partition ( as claimed possible by help.com guide ). Help.com has no example on this. Can any MVP tell me how ? |

What command are you using to do the copy, and what is the result?
I just tried a copy and it worked fine. Are you including the XCOPY switch to copy hidden files? Without it XCOPY does not find any files to copy, as the content of that folder is hidden. -- Jeff Richards MS MVP (Windows - Shell/User) "TE Chea" wrote in message ...
