Default 98se vs XP

This probably has been answered but here goes again.
Trying to fix tonight.

Have three systems here at office, 1x XP(he) and 2x 98se. All three running
through a router to net and an XP server.
The XP can see both 98se fine but the two 98se can't see the XP. The two
98se's can see each other OK.

suggestions please,

L.

Is the Windows XP firewall on? If so be sure you have allowed File and
Printer Sharing. If any of the PCs have a third-party firewall uninstall
(not disable, uninstall!) until the problems are sorted out.

Didn't think about the Win XP firewall.
I have ZoneAlarm on all three but have it disabled.
Will check(uninstall) if this helps but would like to keep it.

It's important to uninstall it if suspected of misfiring. Merely
disabling isn't enough to remove it from the suspect list. You can
re-install it again later.

Also it's not just a matter of clicking on uninstall. Follow these
instructions from the zonelabs website.
