Default no internet with wifi

I gave my kids our old win98se machine and installed a netgear wifi
card. Card nstalled great and used netgear wizard to setup connection
to router...no problems there. But i'm not getting an ip assigned and
no intenet connection. I checked the tcp/ip props and everything looks
correct in the obtain ip auto, dhcp for wins, etc. What have I
missed in the setup?

is the router configured as a dhcp server? enters the routers ip
address into a web browser and you should get a configuration screen
and ensure it is acting as a dhcp server, if it is, then on the 98 ox
open up a command window and type ipconfig /release_all then ipconfig
/renew and see fi it gets an ip now.. if not then i would check signal
strength.

I have pretty much the same problem but using USB WG111v2. I had
connection for very short time during installation phase (desk
top). Have not got it to work since. The odd part is wife's
portable does work both machines use WIN 98 SE and I.E. . The
desk top also has Netscape and dialup installed and working but
dont us dialup and wireless together. I am really stumped !.
