nothing

I've been practicing my debating skills on the Linux advocacy group...

it's even worse than the 24 hour helpline!

Just checking whether eternal september is the only server still
carrying the group...

It is MUCH more of a madhouse than I EVER imagined it to be! I
visited for a few weeks a month ago or so (you may remember the
thread-that-will-not-end ;-) and I did NOT enjoy it...

No, any NNTP (Usenet) server will probably have the group. Microsoft
has dropped it from their server, but that doesn't affect other
servers.

Actually, I do too... As you /may/ have noticed...

If you enjoy reading others' threads as much as participating in
your own, you might want to check out my thread with Homer (and
others) in comp.os.linux.setup

The first post was around the first of August... Headers are
free, don't bother with Google search...

I love Usenet!

It /is/ a lot more fun than a barrel of broken windows.

Thanks, I sort of thought this is how it was going to work, but
the lack of posts made me wonder... The group being here -
obviously - but no posts, and around the end of the month...

I hope this group lives on - using XP more than I would like to
(I /finally/ bought a digital camera - only about a month after
buying my first USB flash drive (I am very impressed with both),
and also have a stupid analog video capture card), and the 2
weeks of Linux hell I went through a little while ago has made
me realize 98SELite /is/ the best OS... Just don't use ANY MS
software except the OS, and tweak the hell out of the OS using
3rd party tools - starting with Lite :-)

(Although I hear BeOS/Haiti is pretty good. I may try it
someday... But I also "heard" Linux was pretty good... Sigh...)

but I cannot find that thread now
