listen i will explain to you the situation in full details ------------------------------------ Computer 1: Host Name: [ Shiref ] IP: 163.100.2.6 Member in Domain: [ Domain ] Member in Workgroup: [ Sony ] has [File & Print Sharing], [ Client for Microsoft Network ] installed Shares: [ Drive C ] & [ Drive D ] ------------------------------------ Computer 2: Host Name: [ Abdel Khalek ] IP: 163.100.2.9 Member in Domain: [ Domain ] Member in Workgroup: [ Sony ] has [File & Print Sharing], [ Client for Microsoft Network ] installed Shares: [ Drive C ] & [ Drive D ] and [ My Documents ] ----------------------------------- both of these computers can log in to any machine in the same IP range and also can log in to the domain but they can not communicate with eachother... so if they need to communicate with eachother they need a bridge [ another workstation ] between them. that's it |

Is there a server involved or is this peer-to-peer? Can they see each other in the Network Neighborhood (this is Win98 right)? What do you get when you type "ipconfig /all" at a DOS prompt?
