Default outlook 2000

I accidentally deleted all my data in my contact list but
i kept a copy of it with the outlook application in floppy
disc. To place safe, i copied to few more. Now everytime,
when i run this disc, the computer will over ride the data
in the disc and make my contact list to nothing. How can i
do otherwise.
Thanks
Edmund
