Default Error msgs in: MSVCRT.DLL, USER.EXE & WINWORD.EXE

Hi all. I'm looking for guidance error messages.

I have just recently been getting the following:

WINWORD has caused an error in MSVCRT.DLL
WINWORD has caused an error in USER.EXE.

I'd appreciate feedback on how to resolve these issues.

Thanks!

may help for the first, and

for the second

Either way, the Normal.dot template appears to be the cause...
Do a Search for all files named Normal.dot - rename any found to Normal.jnk
reboot, and restart Word - it will create a new Normal.dot template
hopefully curing your problem
