Default FQDN not possible to ping but ip OK

Hi. I have a computer here that after a virus (might even be a spyware
problem) got on the computer i have been unable to connect to internet using
"human readable addresses" But when i ping the IP addresses there is no
problem. I have checked my hosts files and all and cant find any problem. So
i guess the problem have to be registry related. Anyone else seen that
problem ? Any solution other than format C: /q ?

Best regards.

If yo can not ping via FQDN but can ping via IP you have
a DNS error- meaning you cannot resolve FQDN to IP
address-check your DNS settings under TCP/IP or
add/remove programswindows componentsnetworking
servicesdetails, Or unplug/ reset your router or cable
modem to renew setting ...sorry I don't know what OS you
are using.
