Why won't my Defragmentation run? It stays at 0 when I
run my diagnostics.

Thanks,
R

Do it in Safe Mode and make sure you do a scan disk first.

I have done the scan disk, no problem. How do I make sure
I am in the Safe Mode?

Thanks,
R

Reboot your computer and start hitting F8 until you get a list of options.
Choose Safe Mode, hit Enter and when it boots into Safe Mode, you should see
"Safe Mode" on all four corners of your monitor's screen.

it does, indeed, work great...

but if a scandisk or defrag doesn't work in safe-mode it won't make a
difference, you have to fix that, first.
