Clearing home page
Under Internet options, General, Home Page
This shows a complete list of every page I have been to. It almost looks like a list from Temp Internet Files! I want to clear this out. Any ideas how I do that and set it so that it does not continue to list places I have been? |

Hi Thomas,
On the General tab, click Clear History. -- Regards, Bert Kinney [MS-MVP DTS] http://dts-l.org/ How to Configure Outlook Express for Internet News: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?kbid=171164 "Thomas" wrote Under Internet options, General, Home Page This shows a complete list of every page I have been to. It does? How? Is it a Drop-down? Something's not right. That should be a box
and should only show whatever is set as your current Home Page. -- Gary S. Terhune MS MVP for Win9x "Thomas" wrote in message ... Hi, I think the OP means when you start typing in a URL in the field-- maybe related to autocomplete\history? I've seen it before, but my history has been cleared in IE and I don't use autocomplete so I can't check it. mm |

Yeah, you're right. Looks like Autocomplete. Same behavior in that box as in
Address bar. To prevent saving Web Address history, (which is separate issue from "History", but don't ask me to get specific on *that* one!) go to Internet Settings, Content tab, Autocomplete button. Uncheck "Web Addresses", then OK your way out. -- Gary S. Terhune MS MVP for Win9x "Mostly Me (MM)" wrote in message ... Gary S. Terhune wrote: It does? How? Is it a Drop-down? Something's not right.
