How can I set the font used for Notepad's Print command
What do I have to do on a system running
Windows 98 Second Edition to get Notepad's print command to use the font that I want? He is what is happening now: System 1 - running Windows 98 Second Edition has the Hewlett-Packard Deskjet 682C serves the printer for the other 2 machines Print from Notepad gets: header and footer the size and font I want body in a different font, smaller than I want System 2 - running Windows 98 Second Edition Print from Notepad gets: header and footer the size and font I want body in a different font, bigger than I want System 3 - running Windows XP Professional Print from Notepad gets: size and font that I want. How can I change the font and size used for the body when I use Notepad's print command on each machine? How can I change the font and size used for the header and footer when I use Notepad's print command on each machine? Wordpad from System 2 gets the font and size that I want, but that may be luck. I haven't been able to try on Systems 1 and 3. I didn't see anything obvious using right click Properties in the Start | Settings | Printer window. Does some setting in Internet Explorer or the desktop Properties Appearance tab control things? |

How can I set the font used for Notepad's Print command
This doesn't make sense - Notepad doesn't support headers
and footers. If you can identify how you are getting Notepad to handle headers and footers you may be able to work out what is causing the pritner to change font size. Wordpad will give you much better control over the font than Notepad will. -----Original Message----- What do I have to do on a system running Windows 98 Second Edition to get Notepad's print command to use the font that I want? File Page Setup... allows you to set Paper, Orientation, Header, Footer, and Printer. A bunch of printer options are available, depending on the printer, not not the default font (with my printers, at least.) Wordpad will give you much better control over the font than Notepad will. But does a bunch of other things differently than what I want. -----Original Message----- What do I have to do on a system running Windows 98 Second Edition to get Notepad's print command to use the font that I want? This might be because Notepad on Windows XP has Format Font... which I may have used a couple of years ago to set things the way I wanted, but doesn't explain why the two Windows 98 Second Edition systems get the files printed differently.
