How Do I Cancel ME Manual (F8) Boot-up
I used F8 to "interrupt" my computer's boot-up to get to
safe mode to troubleshoot a ScanDisk problem. I've fixed that. Now how do I cancel the F8 manual "stop" that keeps happening every time? I want it to return to full "automatic" boot-up. Thanks! P.S. Windows ME on a HP Pavilion 8566C |

....that keeps
happening every time? Ah! you didn't say that in your original post on the general group Try: "Computer Starts Only in Safe Mode and System Restore Does Not Work Properly" http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;en-us;305671 See if that helps. How Do I Cancel ME Manual (F8) Boot-up
Thanks for the suggestion...but, I don't have Norton Anti-
Virus loaded--so that's not it... Yes, it does happen everytime I turn on/boot up. There's got to be a simple way to cancel this...it was certainly simple to engage it... Thanks again. Any other suggestions? -----Original Message----- ....that keeps happening every time? OK, but did you look in msconfig to see if you may have the 'Enable Startup
Menu' box set. Run msconfig.exe and on the General tab, select Advanced and ensure that the 'Enable Startup Menu' box is unchecked. The other thought is - are you sure that you really are in Safe Mode? Does it say 'Safe Mode' in each corner of the screen? Mart wrote in message ...
