Because it's better than Vista: smaller, faster, hard drive friendly,
"inexpensive," and user-friendly. And more. XP is fine too, and so
is Vista, but Vista can get tripped up too easily.

Seeing as "Robb Pierce" has not answered since the 2nd and seeing as
none of us know the name, perchance he is just a troll??

Considering that Trolls are, largely, indistinguishable from random rants, I
would concur.

Notwithstanding that at your age you probably don't feel like waiting maybe
another year, but if you've just got Vista, Harry, you might like to return
it while you still can. I mean, they ought to give Vista owners a free
upgrade to Windows 7 (Johnny's brother) when it comes out, but dollars to
donuts you'll pay as much through the nose as economics allow at the time
(end of the year, maybe).

And give me donuts any day of the week. Spelt 'doughnuts'.

All in all there is an advantage in ME, because one no longer needs
to spend
time downloading all sorts of updates.
Vista has improved features and an advanced look but with dial-up
it is quite a bit slower than ME, despite dual core processing.
And not everyone can afford to 'upgrade' time and time again either.
In short: consider yourself fortunate.

Hope you've had a nice transition into the new year, Shane, even though the
outlook isn't good at all.
This german billionaire lost 4 of his 13 billion and killed himself, does
that make sense?
Where 'Vista' is concerned, it came with the PC and cost me virtually
nothing.
I've got everything working smoothly now and find the system 'enjoyable'.
I wish you and everyone else here a wonderful New Year.

Funny, that, Figgs. Are they as bad, or worse? They're clearly the same
sad clowns - or the same type, you know, absolutely have to have the latest
version and believe every single word attributable to Microsoft (and the
Government, the Police, the Armed Forces, Rich People etc etc) and derive an
almost sexual thrill from abusing and accusing perfect strangers of theft
and heresy based on a lack of evidence that slaps you in the face like an
interlude of silence in the midst of a screaming lunatic asylum? Are they
the same people, their illness more progressed, or are they different
people, but the phenomena picking up as the world becomes that much more
dependent on the microchip?

I'm just glad I don't have to come to such groups for help, I can figure it
out myself or figure out how to find it on Google - because to me ten
minutes of reading that group is like entering a great barn full of braying
sheep, and sheep don't deserve the comparison, but the unfortunate mixed
metaphor must stand because it's like they're asses, but not even good
asses. They're sheep trying to pass themselves off as asses. They can't even
do that. The best they can pass is a little wind.

In a fair world, sheep would have a class action running against the Vista
group.

P.S.: Using my WinME, because Vista is much slower.
Probably caused by McAffe, which I will get rid off after 30 days.
