Default Need to install Cabinet Files and ZIP Folders - WITHOUT CD

I am using Windows 98 on another computer.

I do not have the installation disks, but need to reinstall ZIP Folders and
Cabinet Files.

How can I do this?

Thank's in advance!

Win98 has no ZIP folders. Its CAB files can be
copied but do not require "installatiion." Better
repost saying more precisely what you want to do.

Short and simple:

I need to reinstall the system's 'Cabinet.exe' application. Cabinet Files
just don't work properly without them.

However, any ZIP or CAB files cannot be accessed due to this problem!

And there is also no CD's AT ALL.

To view cab files again, try this:

Make up a file from the lines below. Copy into a file called fix.reg
which should be created in Notepad. Do not retype, copy in case of
errors. The 1st line in the file is the line REGEDIT4
Make sure your mail or news reader does not add any spaces to the end
of a line.
The last line must be blank.
Right-click fix.reg and select Merge.

-----copy below this line fix.reg------------
REGEDIT4

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.cab]
@="CLSID\\{0CD7A5C0-9F37-11CE-AE65-08002B2E1262}"

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{0CD7A5C0-9F37-11CE-AE65-08002B2E1262}]

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{0CD7A5C0-9F37-11CE-AE65-08002B2E1262}\shell\open]

There is no ZIP application installed with Win98.
Try a 3rd party program like Winzip
WinZip: http://www.winzip.com/winzip_h.htm

EXTRACT.EXE is the tool to get items out of CAB files,
usually stored in both / Command and / EBD folders.
