Windows Explorer- abnormal termination
When I click on a folder in Windows Explorer, it beeps and
closes (without expanding to see the folder's contents). This just started occurring after I corrected a problem with Norton SystemsWorks 2004. Any suggestions on how to get Windows Explorer fucntioning properly? |

It would appear that using NSW has destroyed your system. I would suggest
that you a) use system restore to restore your system to the state it was in before you installed and used Symantec's flawed products, and then b) uninstall and dispose of in the trash can all products carrying the name Norton or Symantec. Speaking personally of course but your system really would benefit from never ever seeing or having installed on it the malware marketed by Symantec. -- Mike Maltby MS-MVP Ross wrote: When I click on a folder in Windows Explorer, it beeps and closes (without expanding to see the folder's contents). Your choice. You are running a flawed product, let it wreck your system and
then don't like the advice you're given. What was wrong with using system restore? Seems you prefer to run a trashed system than fix your problem. -- Mike Maltby MS-MVP Ross wrote: Thanks for nothing! |

General concensus is that NSW2004 doesn't get along with WinME very well. I'd suggest using System Restore to roll back to before you corrected the NSW problem, then either uninstalling NSW, or finding an alternate solution to whatever problem you had. Rick |
