7 port USB Hub on Win98 First Edition
I have a HP Pavilion 6465 (Circa 1999) desktop PC with two USB 1.1 (12
Mb/sec) ports that is running on Windows 98 First Edition. Will the Belkin F5U237v1 seven port hub work with this computer at all? Will the Win 98 First Edition hub driver (USBHUB.SYS) handle a 7 port hub? The Belkin F5U237v1 product spec claims Win 98 SE as the minimum operating system. I understand and can accept that if it functions at all that the speed will only be USB 1.1 at 12 Mb/sec. |

7 port USB Hub on Win98 First Edition
Check out this link.
http://catalog.belkin.com/IWCatProdu...duct_Id=158910 Specs say it's backward compatible with USB 1 so it ought to work fine. I use 2 USB hubs, backward compatible. They're very convenient. charlie R "PSRumbagh" wrote in message ... I have a HP Pavilion 6465 (Circa 1999) desktop PC with two USB 1.1 (12 Mb/sec) ports that is running on Windows 98 First Edition.
