quick single right click .........................................

A quick single mouse click results as though I made 2 single mouse clicks.
For example, I make a quick single mouse click to close a window but instead
the window closes then opens.

Help!

Have you tried replacing the mouse with a known good one? Perhaps you can borrow
one from someone to test.

(1) What is selected at... Control Panel, Mouse, Buttons tab... in the
dropdown menus for the mouse buttons? A single click can be set to do
two.

(2) What did you click to close the window?

Even if a single click does two, I don't see how it can reopen a closed
window.
