DVD-RW not recocnised
Hi
can any one help? I have recently pulled out the CD-ROM from my old IBM machine and replaced it with a DVD-RW. The problem I have is that windows me is still seeing it as a CD-ROM. I am able to burn CDs and DVDs using media player or real player so I know the unit is working but if I try to save a word document, for example, direct to a CD I just get told the file is read only. I have tried updating all the drivers I can think of to no avail. Please help as this problem is causing me sleepless nights. |

Have you installed the necessary drivers for InCD or DirectCD or whatever
packet software you are using. Since you have changed the drive you may need to reinstall any drivers you had previously. -- Mike Maltby MS-MVP [2001-2005] Darren wrote: Hi can any one help?
