How neat.....just tried those. (E and Pause).......

Glad to hear you salvaged all of it.....I agree that a very strong G & T
would be in order......or two or three, grin.

Cheers.....Heather

Now where's the challenge in that, Mike??

(Actually, I didn't know that one. The challenge will be to remember
it!)

That and WinKey+E are probably my most used WinKey combinations. Probably
because I can't remember others. WinKey+D is useful on occasion but I
find it a bit extreme. :-)

[Who's "recovering" having just salvaged 157GB of data off of a SATA drive
of the same size. Recovered all bar 4 small inconsequential text files.
I think I destroyed the MFT on a NTFS volume by filling the drive almost
to the limit. I had 650MB free. Relief all round and a strong drink
required after a very long day.]

I always use WinKey-E, never a shortcut or anything which is why I am
totally lost when working on an older PC without a WinKey.

I've only just made the coffee I promised myself so a G&T might have to
wait. If I do start though I might just dispense with a glass. :-)

Yes, I use WinKey+E a lot (and WinKey+R) but tend to use the r-click My
Computer route to the System applet. Funny part of it is that I'll often use
WinKey+D to get to it! :-)

Chuckling to myself here......did the coffee keep you up?? Shoulda had the
G&T!!

I will have to look for the layout of those Win Key commands. Having a
Mac-freak daughter means she uses them all the time. Thinks we PC users are
dolts for not doing so.....grin.

Coffee fine and then a reasonable night sleep - thanks very much. :-)
The G&T will have to wait for when I really want/need to celebrate.

As to a comprehensive list of WinKey commands - what does Help have to
say? Yep, searching on "Windows Key" brings up "Using the Windows key"
which lists 10 key combinations. Misses out WinKey+M (minimise all
windows - not quite the same as WinKey+D which toggles between minimise
and unminimise (?))
