WIN ME Setup.exe

Dear everyone,

I did upgraded my RAM from 128 to 256MB(SDPC133). The PC
worked fine. Then I changed my new Dell(ps2) mouse with a
serial converter to the serial port.

Thats all!!

As soon as I restarted, everything gone crazy.. drivers
corrupted.. So finally after a huge struggle with ME boot
disk and other ways.. formatted the whole C & D, deleted
the partitions and partitioned it again. While trying to
run setup.exe from CD(ME).. the system goes for routine
hardrive error check and checking the registries & finally
ends up with this message..

Standard mode: fault outside of Ms-DOS extender
EC=0000 CS=0337 IP=2800 AX=0140 BX=D4CO CX=0120
DX=0000 SI=0397 DI=0000 BP=0196 DS=0277 ES=032F
SS=027F SP=0188

Could anyone knows how to solve this problem and able to
help me in this regard... I am in a critical situation to
sort out this problem.
