Cant ping gateway with desktop configured with win98
Hi all,
I took a new broadband internet connection. I can ping to gateway with my laptop configured with winxp. but I cant ping to the gateway with a desktop configured with win 98. so cant browse on my desktop. The ethernet card has no problem. It was the working card i took from my friend. But when i see the ipconfig details...it shows ip address but blank gateway. When I do set the ip and gateway manually as per the laptop settings, it shows the gateway but cant ping. Can anybody help me out to find out what problem is this? Need help... pls.... -Guru |

Second could be what's known as "browser conflict", or the addressing within your system.
