Default Connecting a wireless laptop to a live box, wirelessly

Hi,
being a bit of a techno spaz, i ordered a live box from wannadoo as it
seemed idiot proof! my normal broadband setup was really simple to set
up so i thougt this would be too.

the set up procedure makes you use this plug in wireless thing and does
not let you use your built in kit. (stop me if youve heard this before)

it all worked fine until you turned the laptop off. next day when
turned back on, i find that i can get a 'network' going with the live
box but i cant get onto the net with it.

the laptop will find the box using its own wifi but only as a network.
again, no internet.

help!!!
