I did a search for that on the WWW and found nothing, are you sure you have
the correct spelling ?

yeah, that's the spelling from the dialog box; it also
shows a "browse" location field. But I cannot locate
anywhere. This problem won't allow me to move beyond a
first step....thanks for any help. BTW MS support #
referred to Symantec..they're closed

The file looks like it was supplied by a virus and has been removed,
leaving a corrupt .exe association.
If you cannot open applications (.exe files) then this Swen fix will
correct that.

(download, right-click, select Install)

I never call my ISP unless I cannot get through via email or newsgroups.

Have you tried the Symantec Knowledgebase?

http://www.symantec.com/techsupp/knowledge_base.html

Going with the assumption that you downed Norton Antivirus for Windows 98,
I did a query on "Windows cannot find finokgbb.exe" and found nothing as no
results were found. So I am guessing you either have a faulty download or
I go back to my original idea of misspelling, either on your part, or the
machine's part. Or it's a hoax.

Using this: http://www.multi-search-engine.com/

I got some feedback he http://www.beaucoup.com/ whether it is useful, or
a generic result page, I have no idea.
