Default Netbios over tcp/ip disabled

I am trying to set up communication to a WINS server but the 'Netbios over
tcp/ip' is disabled. I have three Win98 PCs and they are all like this.

Can anybody help?

Also, how do WINS and DNS sit together? ie if I type www.thisdomain.com
(DNS) or type www (WIN name)? Am I missing something?

Thanks,

Alex Kudrasev
