Norton NIS begone
Hi all, I want to get rid of NIS (AV and Firewall). I have feedback that removing it can be a pain in the neck. Appreciate any hints as to the best way i.e. start with Add/remove in the Explorer, than what?? When this is done (and if succeed), want to install Avast for AV and what would you suggest for Firewall?? Your inputs appreciated Paul -- cogito ergo sum |

Personally I am using Sygate, but Kerio PF 2.1.5 is supposedly a better bet. Let us know if you can't find the download for it. Harry. "PAT (Paul)" wrote in message ... Kerio 2.1.5 is my usual recommendation for ME - you'll have to Google for
it, though as I don't think it's available any more from the Kerio (or Sunbelt) site. -- Noel Paton (MS-MVP 2002-2006, Windows) Nil Carborundum Illegitemi http://www.crashfixpc.com/millsrpch.htm http://tinyurl.com/6oztj Please read http://dts-l.org/goodpost.htm on how to post messages to NG's "PAT (Paul)" wrote in message ... Paul:
It's perfectly allright to choose Kerio over Sygate, but merely the fact that Symantec has taken over Sygate, doesn't mean it is less in effectiveness. I have no sqabble with it, since it's doing a wonderfully good job for me. Harry. "PAT (Paul)" wrote in message ... Harry Sygate has been taken over by Symantec...so guess will go to Kerio.
