No longer able to download files
I have a Toshiba Satellite 4020CDT with 64 Megs running Windows98. I've
been using Real Download as my default down loader since I first started accessing the web, without any serious problems. After switching from dial up to DSL, both Real Download and the Windows98 down load would start up simultaneously during any attempt to download. I decided to uninstall Real Download, but apparently during the process, I must have inadvertently deleted a shared file(s). Usually, when prompted about shared files, I opt not to delete. Now Windows locks up when I attempt to download any file, even updating Windows. The only recourse is to reboot (reset button) the computer. Is there a way that I can restore the deleted file(s) without reinstalling Windows and wiping out everything on my hard drive. |

Try this first Start = Run Type MSINFO32 and press [Enter] Click on Tools and run the Internet Explorer Repair Tool |

But the other download problem is caused by my firewall Kerio. When ever it's running, it causes the download application to lock up. |
