Power problem?!
My desktop has suddenly decided, when switched on from cold, to switch
itself off after about 2 secs. The time span is so short that I cannot, apparently, change into any other mode or boot from a floppy. Can anyone help me out with things to check or something? TIA |

Power problem?!
It sounds as if you have a 'major overload' on the PSU (Power Supply Unit)
within your PC and therefore serious. Unless you feel fairly competent 'under the bonnet' and are able to isolate the various items of hardware connected to the motherboard in an effort to locate the problem, you are probably best seeking advice from your local PC service technician. Have you added any new items recently, e.g. CD-ROM, hard disk, etc? Mart "Dave" wrote in message ... Power problem?!
Thanks very much Mart. I checked the power supply and one, of the two fans,
has stopped working. I changed back to my old power supply and everything is back to normal. Will fix the fan tomorrow. Cheers "Mart" wrote in message ...
