Default Drive Letter Assignment

Recently, my drive letter assignments began changing
without my direction, i.e. Super Disk assigned as Drive B
but changes to Drive E by itself. This becomes an
inconvience since I have 18 computers to monitor if they
are not all configured the same way.

Any ideas?

Richard

Check the IDE cable to your drives in the affected

computer, and make sure there connected to the motherboard
securely.

Default Drive Letter Assignment

Are you assigning the drive letter through Device Manager?

1) Click on StartSettingsControl Panel.
2) In the Control Panel, double-click on System.
3) Click on the Device Manager tab.
4) Click on Disk Drives and then double-click on SuperDisk drive.
5) Click on Settings and set the desired drive letter.
6) Restart your computer when prompted.

Is a floppy drive also installed, or has the LS-120 drive been installed as a floppy
drive replacement?
Is the LS-120 installed as a bootable device, and if so, is it configured as such in
the BIOS?
If the regular floppy drive has been removed and only the LS-120 is present, have
you disable the floppy controller in the BIOS?
